About Triple Wisdom Preservation

Triple Wisdom Preservation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works to promote the preservation and practice of Buddhadharma, traditional medicine and yoga practices.

Through our online educational opportunities, seasonal giving and daily practice of Buddhadharma Triple Wisdom aims to preserve the wisdom of traditional teachers.

We raise funds for the preservation and printing of traditional texts, Dharma centers & buildings, and supporting charities with a similar mission to ours, as well as directly supporting living practitioners, animals, temples and those in need.

Throughout the year we host online and global in-person events to introduce common topics of Dharma, medicine and yoga from the perspective of the Buddha's teachings such as navigating suffering in our human existence, sickness and death as well as joy, developing virtuous conduct and ways to enhance this precious human life.

Triple Wisdom Preservation strives to develop compassion and cultivate diligence in actions that benefit others. Our activities encourage people meeting the dharma, studying traditional sciences, connecting with teachers, traditions, practices and others aspiring to practice.

Donations support the sources of these teachings, giving to those in need, rescuing animals and housing texts and medicine.

Triple Wisdom Preservation Projects

Our fundraising and activities support beings around the world.
Read more below to learn about the ways we use donations.

  • Supporting Teachers

If one does not have a teacher then one does not have anyone to learn from. We make offerings to living teachers who share wisdom with us and to the memorials and ashrams of teachers that have passed. These offerings support the preservation of traditional knowledge directly and benefit living practitioners, monks, adepts & doctors.

  • Kuti

We offer donations to keep a small kuti in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. A kuti is a small hut or lodging that a monk usually lives in and it is one of the basic four requisites: robes, food, lodging, & medicine. This modest place is where many dhamma & medicine books are kept, where we make and house medicine & provides a place to study when people come to visit Thailand.

  • Life Release

Life-release is the practice of saving animals destined for slaughter practiced by dhamma practitioners. All schools of Buddhism encourage followers to not only refrain from harming beings, but also to actively save lives. We donate funds to rescue animals from slaughter & support a safe & healthy home for them to live peacefully whenever possible.

  • Text Preservation

The documentation, compilation and copying of primary texts is a pillar of our mission. Through translation, oral instruction and digital copies we aim to continue preserving traditional texts into the next era.

  • Helping Those in Need

Supporting those in need - the homeless, sick, children, elderly, and those requiring requisites is a practice we keep thanks to your donations. We offer funds to a variety of individuals and organizations, including orphanages, in Thailand to provide food & maintain the facilities. Often, practitioners will walk around offering money and supplies to those in need in their local communities.

  • Online Events

Our main program are weekly online talks on traditional medicine and buddhadharma which occur twice annually in January and June. These 6-10 week programs dive deeply into medical theory, the words of the Buddha, areas of practice, chanting and other foundational knowledge required for upholding traditional sciences and practices. We host free public talks online in the spring and autumn for anyone interested in learning more about these topics.
