2026 Kuti Fundraiser
As we circle the season of renewal in the north, we are reminded of those essential ingredients required to support this precious human life. Whether we are practitioners in a temple, or members of a household, we must sustain food, clothing, shelter, and medicine to make progress on our aspirations.
As you may know, Triple Wisdom Preservation and many members of the community around the world are committed to providing these requisites for Somānanda Yogi and practitioners and teachers in our lineage. This includes providing a kuti where he and others can stay, practice, study, learn, as well as engage in traditional medicine making, therapies and patient interactions.
Since 2019, this space is from where SD Yogi gives many of the Summer & Winter Zoom talks. A modest space in a village not too far from the Phra Pathom Chedi, this kuti is where SDY makes and stores medicine and where we house a growing library of books on Dhamma, medicine and other related topics, as well as multiple shrines which receive daily offerings, practice and care.
This kuti is not only a place for SD Yogi to stay and practice but it also provides shelter for others and is where those interested in studying in person have visited for teachings in Thailand. Many students have come to the kuti in the last year, staying for varying lengths of time, and receiving teachings on many topics.
In 2025, your donations to Triple Wisdom and the kuti helped SDY, Candraśrī and the children TWP sponsors, as well as the visitors of the kuti, make merit at many temples across Thailand including:
Kathin Ceremony (offering robes to monks) at nine temples:
1. Wat Klang Bang Phra
2. Wat Uthayan
3. Wat Saket (Phu Khao Thong), Royal Kathina Ceremony
4. Wat Chamnihatthakan
5. Wat Veerachotithammaram, Chachoengsao
6. Wat Intharaviharn, Royal Kathina Ceremony
7. Wat Khao Kruat, Ratchaburi
8. Wat San Phanthai Norasingh
9. Wat Daeng Thamachat
…and more than $1300 USD donated to over a dozen temples, homeless, life release and other meritorious activities around Nakhon Pathom.
Once again we are looking to generate the funds needed to fulfill the yearly contract for this very important and necessary home in Thailand, as well as ongoing maintenance.
Our deadline of May 15 is quickly approaching. We still need to raise $4295 to meet our goal total of $7000. Please consider donating any amount so we can maintain this essential pillar of support for our collective growth, practice, and merit.
