On the Porch at Vessel & Vine

4 Pleasant St, Brunswick ME 04011

Zoom available

In a world of constant change, how can we cultivate the tools of resilience? How can we remain connected to our own well being and to that of our community, even when we disagree? These are the difficult questions many of us face when we feel uncertain about what the future holds and when we feel divided from the happenings of our lives. In this discussion with a traditional practicing yogi, we will consider how to eliminate divisiveness and become responsive to our circumstances as they arise, starting with ourselves.

Drinks at the bar will be available for purchase a la carte and a complimentary simple spread of snacks will be provided.

This event, hosted by Vessel & Vine, is offered by donation and sponsored by Triple Wisdom Preservation, a non-profit organization committed to preserving the studies and practices of wisdom & compassion. The suggested donation for this talk is $10-20. However, please give whatever amount brings you joy! This talk is open to all! No need to RSVP to attend in person, just show up!

We will enjoy the fresh air on the porch for this community event. We’ll have a few outdoor heaters warming the space. Please dress for the weather!

Remedies for Seasonal Conditions

As autumn transitions into winter in Chicago, it is not unusual for us to experience increased mucous, itchy throat, sneezing, mild fever and other “cold” symptoms. In lieu of modern medicine symptom management, many of us are searching for natural and traditional remedies to help ease the suffering and discomfort of seasonal transition. If you’re looking for trustworthy information and practical advice on how to manage and remedy these symptoms with easy-to-access herbs and common ingredients found in your kitchen, join us!

Using readily available ingredients found in most local grocery stores, Somānada Yogi will discuss how one can prevent, manage and remedy “cold” and “flu” symptoms for you and your whole family, as well as, to support our health with natural ingredients during this time of seasonal transition.

Please join us, newcomers and experienced practitioners alike, in receiving this precious teaching from a traditional practicing yogi who upholds a living lineage of traditional medicine. All are welcome!

Suggested donation: $20-50
