Request a Talk - Traditional Dhamma, Yoga & Medicine

Traditionally, a teacher only provides instruction when a student requests a topic to learn. The modern idea that the teacher arrives when the student is ready may leave us waiting for an opportunity to arrive someday when, instead, we can take intentional action to learn right now.

Triple Wisdom Preservation is pleased to provide the opportunity to take requests for teachings and instruction on Buddhadhamma, traditional yoga and traditional medicine from South and Southeast Asian lineages. There are a plethora of topics and paths of study within these three areas alone, many of which have been covered in our previous online studies for Buddhadhamma Traditions and Traditional Medicine text translation and study.

When will these talks talks place?

Events are hosted during the months of June, July and August as well as January, February and March online at 8pm Thailand time on Mondays and Wednesdays. Additional times can be requested for those in the Western Hemisphere.

Our next weekly Zoom Series begins January 2027.

How do I request a traditional medicine, Buddhadhamma or traditional yoga talk?

To request a talk, fill out the form to let our organizers know the topic, particular questions, and amount of days you wish to learn. The option to request instruction for a small group with previous experience, a shared practice or interest, or a personal invitation for a specific group are welcomed in addition to publicly available talks.

Who can request a talk?

Anyone with a sincere wish to learn! Sponsors may request a talk to make available for a private or public group, study and practice groups may request private instructions based on a particular practice, text, or topic they wish to study. You are welcome to request a general topic for a university class, a community group, or all of your friends, family and acquaintances.

Who are these events for?

These events are for anyone interested in traditional study, practice and upholding a tradition:

Dhamma teachings come from the Kammaṭṭhāna & Yogāvacara tradition, the roots of which derive from the Pali Buddhist canon (Tipiṭaka), as well as the Bodhisattvayana and Sanskrit tradition. Topics include meditation, brahmavihārās, practices for householders & teachings of yogis and the different aspects of the path of a practitioner.

Medicine topics come from Buddhist medical theory and the roots of traditional medicine practiced in Thailand, India and other South & Southeast Asian locales. How to care for oneself in a traditional manner, herbal pharmacology, medical texts, digestion, disease process, and medical theory to support the practice of caregiving in a traditional manner encompasses many possible topics.
