A Buddhist Contemplation on Mortality: Exploring the Value of Our Present Existence

  • DeBrand Fine Chocolate, Fort Wayne 10105 Auburn Park Drive Fort Wayne, IN, 46825 United States (map)

Death, while a taboo topic of discussion, is a certainty for everyone. By contemplating this eventuality with clear references from the Pali Buddhist canon, this one hour discussion will go deeper into how precious human birth is, the understanding of death from Buddhism, and how we can make the most of the time we have in a good way.

Living a full and meaningful life, getting clear on our perspective on both life and death, as well as understanding what can happen when we die is a conversation filled with many questions and doubts, but also with joy and appreciation.

With the guidance of an experienced ascetic practitioner of the Dharma, we will gain insight to texts and teachings directly from the Buddha in the face of this universal truth. There will be time for questions and answers, after the talk.

This talk is applicable to all backgrounds and experience levels.
No prior experience necessary – all are welcome!

Join us Saturday, October 18th at 6 pm-7 pm EDT for this teaching in person or on Zoom.
